Wireless Mythbusters is a video series that investigates and dispels common Wireless Connectivity myths within the Service Provider Industry. The series was created for WAV and is sponsored by Cambium Networks, a wireless infrastructure provider. Zach Hueck, the host, travels to different regions across North America highlighting a local Internet Service Provider that is actively dispelling a wireless myth within their network.
"It sounds like a video case study, how do we make it fun?" Having worked with Zach before, I knew I could count on his talking heads to be engaging and enjoyable to watch, but there was no guarantee on the folks we'd be interviewing. To ensure something different, I planned on going with more of a "vlog" style video by keeping most of the shots handheld and ensuring we got ample time in the field with the people actually installing the equipment to balance out the more sterile office interviews that were necessary for the narrative.

We had about 7 hours to shoot the three interviews, climb the telecommunications tower, shadow two separate customer installs, and grab the intro and outro segments. This was another example of "run and gun" with a lot of unknown variables and challenges at each different location. Despite the challenges, the finished product is rock solid and has piqued the interest of other WAV customers and even competing wireless manufacturers.
